Version 2.0 of the Kalmar FF app is now available for download from App Store and Google play.

Changes are:
. Completely rewritten code for better performance.
. The News are updated with more sources, new layout, new sorting functions and much faster load time.
. Rödvita kartan is updated for faster load time.
. Updated players info and the new team clothes.
. Updated wallpaper pictures.

Update of the Kalmar FF app for Android

V. 1.6 of the Kalmar FF app for Android is now available for download on Android Market

The updates are:

. More news feeds. New are: SvenskaFans, Eurosport, Fotbolldirekt.

. A lot faster loading time for the news feed. With “Alla” selected under settings for the days back the listing should include, the loading time should not be much longer than 3-5 seconds now depending on your connections speed. This could earlier have taken 15-30 seconds to complete.

. New calendar for the matches 2012

. Bugfixes.

Version 1.6 for iPhone will be available on App store within a week.

The App-year 2012 starts with a bang

Just as we turn the page for the new year we land a new interesting project.

This time, it is one of the largest retailers of mobile accessories in Sweden that choose to rely on our services. The assignment involves the development of both a web-based solution and a mobile application. The actual function is unique in the market and has strong links to some of the physical products sold by the company. We will return with a more detailed description of the project ahead.

The company Axelent may have it’s main office in Hillerstorp, Småland – Sweden but Axelent is a company working on a global market with 36 sales offices all over the world.

Axelents app for iPhone, iPad and Android

Axelent develops, manufactures and sells machine guarding, warehouse partitioning, anti-collapse and property protection. By being the quickest to act and deliver, Axelent will occupy a prominent position on both the domestic and international market.

We were commissioned to develop a mobile app to iPhone, iPhone and Android where company representatives and customers always have the latest updated information about the company and its products. PDF documents updated on the company website is also reflected in the app where the mobile user through push notification become alerted that new content is available for download in the app. The downloaded documents are stored locally on the mobile and can thus be read without repeated downloading. The company also publishes a newsletter and its corporate presentation film through the app. Since the company operate internationally it was of great importance that the app would be available in multiple languages. The languages, Swedish, English, German, French and Spanish are united in the same app. The downloaded documents are also matched to the selected language.

Hushållningssällskapets iPhone App

The App “Mitt Gymnasieval” (My Upper Secondary School) is an app for iPhone where students and others can access information about Hushållningssällskapet KKB’s (Swedish Rural Economy and Agricultural Societies Kalmar – Kronoberg – Blekinge) four agricultural colleges.

The app was developed to meet how young people communicate and gather information. In addition to being on a mobile platform and having easily accessible information about the colleges the app includes a form of “cutout doll” where the user can select an education and school and then assemble this with a user provided picture. A fun and informative way of showing what the student would look in a scenario specific for the selected education, with emphasis on fun.

The use of the app is stimulated by a contest in which the funniest picture is rewarded. Along with the mobile app we also developed a Facebook app where the actual competition takes place. The mobile-generated image is uploaded to Facebook from the mobile app and published on the user’s Facebook wall. Included in the post to Facebook are also links to the Facebook page for the specific school selected in the app and a link to the mobile app so it can be downloaded by new users.

The publication on Facebook will contribute to the social spreading of information about the four schools and the mobile app.

The app was developed with the same theme and launched a the same time as an advertising campaign on TV4 , produced by Artos Film.

Besides the basic functions and the “cutout doll” campaign the app is designed as a platform for further development with added features.

The Rural Economy and Agricultural Societies are independent members organisations dedicated to enhancing an enterprising spirit in rural areas and promoting good rural and urban living environments.

New contract and new thinking

Yet another contract for app development was signed today. This time with a group of schools who realize that the modern and efficient way to directly communicate with young people, their customers, is through mobile phones.

It’s fantastic when customers, that in addition to grasp new technology and new communication channels also dare to think out of the box and do something extraordinary. The application will be developed for iPhone at first with an optional version for Android. The agreement also means the development of advanced connections to Facebook’s API for direct communication with the mobile app.

The release of the app will be coordinated with a major TV ad campaign.

What will the app do? Think cutout dolls and you have a bit of the idea.

New contract with a customer in the industrial sector for the development of a company app for iPhone and iPad.

A clear and continuous trend seems to be that more and more companies are showing interest in having their own mobile application.

From having been a “we just have to” be ahead of our competitors with this new trend, perhaps sometimes without any vision or goal other than just to have a mobile application, to where many companies actually starting to realise the benefits of being present and available even for mobile users.
